Men's medium 40 chest. Dark green waxed cotton vintage belstaff trialmaster vest from the late 1970s.
Four front patch pockets with double snap closures. Amazing patina resulting from nearly fifty years of active use. This vest was originally a jacket that had the sleeves professionally removed in the early 1990's. It is missing the belt that was original to the jacket.
All snaps and zipper work perfectly. Made in the original factory in langton, stoke on trent, england. Has proprietary blue/grey cotton plaid lining. Beltsaff was the first company in england to use the innovative waterproof waxed cotton fabric developed by brittish miilerain textiles of lancashire in 1926.
Later barbour, burberry, and filson of seattle would develop other waterproof outerwear jackets and pants. Repeated rewaxing of these jackets result in an amazing patina developed over 50 years similar to a pair of indigo denim jeans.I have been using, collecting, and trading these jackets for over twenty years, any questions please ask. Check out our other vintage belstaff's listed. This item is made of waxed cotton and cotton plaid lining, brass zipper, brass snaps, interior pocket. The style is hipster and rocker.
