We're'mixing it up' more than ever by introducing sequin panels to our unisex spandex bomber jackets. It's a win, win situation party people no more disco tangles for those who find full sequin jackets too high maintenance. The spandex sections mean that we can also add zips to our bomber jacket pockets to keep your disco kit safe on the dancefloor while you're busting out those power-moves. Production takes place at state hq in hanoi, vietnam where captain disarray (fashion designer aka: tabitha green) and her partner'the ocelot of dreams' (graphic designer aka: dan pritchard) spend their winter months, creating dynamic collections of very limited edition and bespoke designs at their home studio.
'our style may be reckless, but our garment production is responsible, sustainable and ethically sound'' - the captain. Taking inspiration from award winning sustainable fashion innovator' orsola de castro, state of disarray offers high quality garments which are made to last.
Not only do we resourcefully source many luxury fabrics, considered to be surplus waste from other designer brands, disarray then donates the offcuts from our own production to other independent makers and pre-schools in vietnam. We aim for zero waste in our clothing production. As a designer, maker and vietnamese speaker the captain can oversee all aspects of production to ensure that our garments are ethically produced by a skilled team, in a safe environment with no risk of outsourcing or exploitation. Trading in the local language puts everyone at ease and the tailors we work with are paid at a rate which truly reflects the high quality of their craftsmanship.
