This coat is made from a vintage quilt. The vintage double wedding rings quilt i used for this jacket was big enough that i was able to make 2 jackets from it, making the most of this pretty quilt. The quilt has 90s floral prints and very well done floral stitchwork. I used the quilt's edge for the pockets which gives them a unique shape. The style is like a chore coat and has a unisex fit.
The sleeves are long enough to roll at the cuff. I did some mending where some of the pieces were separating but the quilt was not very worn. It is comprised of cotton fabrics with a polyester batting insulation. All of my clothing made from recycled materials have a little bit of wear and signs of previous use giving them character and uniqueness. I clean, mend and repair the textiles before re-making them into a garment, but expect some minor wear and the occasional mark.
Chest pit to pit - 21. Sleeve length - 25 unrolled. This item is made of cotton outer and cotton inner, polyester batting, buttons.
