A lovely alternative to a jacket or coat at a winter wedding or wear it with trousers for a special occasion. Front length: 28.5'' (from shoulder seam to hem).Back length: 28.5'' (center back neckline to hem). The fit is oversized but if you think its too big or long we can either alter it for you or make one to order. The beautiful antique silk is still in great condition which you can hopefully see in the photographs with a hand-painted peacock design. I made the boarder of this item by joining together the pieces of the vintage kimono to reuse all of the original fabric.
Main fabric: a lovely medium weight cotton linen blend fabric in light cream/ off-white. This fabric doesn't crease like pure linen does and has lots more drape and movement in the fabric. The combination of silk and linen make the garment very breathable and light to wear so it will keep you cool in the summer months but is also a versatile winter cover up.
Care: dry clean only, the hand painted art work and delicate texture of the silk means this garment cant be washed by machine. Why wash it anyway, this jacket is very loose it really doesn't need regular washing at all. Just use a damp cloth to remove dir.Do get in contact of you need further instructions or have any questions. Iron on a medium to high heat either on the front or back. If you iron on the silk side i would recommend using a low heat setting. All items are sent with tracking at no extra cost.
