This style of coat is a traditional rio grande style jacket coat with sleeves and trim made from a pseudo suede fabric. This coat has pecan as a field color and light brown, light cardinal, and natural included in its design and features brown psuedo-suede sleeves and collar. The shirt collar is the traditional collar on chimayo coats, a design used for many, many years. Our nickel buttons are cast copies of the old indian head/buffalo nickels, because buttons made from the real nickels are hard for us to get anymore. The garment is fully lined with a smooth and comfortable polyester fabric.This style of jacket draws from the oldest part of our weaving tradition, the rio grande striped blanket. The strong vertical lines of these jackets are the defining design elements.
